Bulletin on May 11th and 18th, 1972. He stated that 12 persons were sent notice
of the hearing.

Mr. Harstad made a brief presentation in which he outlined that there would be
nine eight unit townhouses, the majority of which would front Worth on County
Road H2 between Long Lake Road and Sunnyside Road. There would be three townhouse
buildings set to the West of long Lake Road and South of County Road H2
approximately 300 ft West of Long Lake Road. The area between these structures
and Long Lake Road would be either dredged for a small lake or graded for
use as a tennis court and a swimming pool. An additional parcel of property to
the South and West of his townhouse units would be used to construct 92 single
family homes after street improvements were constructed.
He stated that he does not have any final plans or grading plans for the
proposal at this stage due to the added expense that would be necessary, since
the Council has not acted favorably upon his proposal at this time. However,
he stated he would have more detailed plans if the Council indicated approval
of his project,

Mayor Neisen called for questions from the floor -
Mrs. Sickler, 5250 Long Lake Road inquired as to who was to perform the
maintenance on the townhouses. Mr. Harstad answered that an association would
be formed and that they would assume the responsibility,
Mr. Perkins, 2559 Woodale wanted to know whether they would be rented or sold
outright. Mr. Harstad replied that they would be sold in the lower $30,000.00
bracket for each unit.
Mr. Perkins also wanted to know why he received notice of the March 5th hearing
on the townhouse proposal, but did not receive any notice of this hearing. He was
there to "bitch about it ". He was opposed to the added traffic it would cause
and had moved out of Minneapolis and sp8nt $34,000.00 for his home and did not
want his neighborhood changed. Clerk Zylla explained that several people did not
receive notice of the 2nd hearing because the 2nd proposal was changed and certain
people which were in the 250 foot radius for the 1st hearing were no longer in the
