MSP ( Pickar- Hodges) To approve the following licenses, withholding approval of the gasoline
station license for Bill and Ed's Skelly giving the owner 30 days to clean the premises to
the satisfaction of the Council. Cement - Trana & Craven Masonry; Cigarette - Mounds View
Skelly, Dave's Gulf Station, Highway #10 Service and Mermaid Cocktail Lounge, Inc.;
Excavating - Julian Johnson Construction; Gas Station - Mounds View Skelly, Dave's Gulf

Councilman Baumgartner felt that the license ought to be withheld for Bill & Ed's Auto Sales
also since both premises were "eye sores ".
The Council is to examine the station on February 5, 1973.

(Baumgartner- Pickar) To approve the following bills excluding check #6925: General
checks #6891 thru #6933; Bond checks #622 and #623; and Payroll checks #3124 thru #3156.
Total disbursements $155,405.85.
MSP (Hodges - Pickar) To approve check #6925 in the amount of $11,094.75 transferring
$9,099.45 from General Fund, $1,164.55 from Water Utility and $830.75 from Sewer Utility
to the Payroll Account to pay gross pay of 1/15/73.
MSP (Hodges - Baumgartner) To authorize the advertisement for a 1973 1/2 ton pickup truck
through the Ramsey County Purchasing Department,
MSP (Neisen - Pickar) To adopt Resolution No. 590 apportioning the assessments on Division
No. 45598.

MSP (Hodges - Baumgartner) To change the effective date for health and life insurance coverage
with Metropolitan Life Insurance Company from January 1 to February 1, 1973 or later, if

Clerk Zylla announced that Ken Simons of the Ramsey County Open Space Department would be

r Zylla declared that there were 145 new single family home permits issued in 1972 compared
J7 in 1971. Total new construction in 1972 was 324 units versus 267 units in 1971. Total
building permits in 1972 equalled 486 compared to 373 in 1971.
