.cilman Baimgartner's Report
Councilman Baumgartner read the Recreation Commission minutes of December 28, 1972 and
the Planning Commission minutes of December 27, 1972,
MSP (Hodges - Pickar) To issue a building permit to Construction 70, Inc. to construct a
car wash addition to the Long Lake "66" service station, subject to approval of the Village
inspector and the fire chief. 4 Ayes
Clerk Zylla informed Construction 70's representative that additional REC charges will be
due after they have been determined.
Councilman Pickar's Report
Councilman Pickar reported on the Lakeside Park Commission meeting held January 3rd. He
stated that there was a cash balance on December 31st of $1,029.99 plus a $2,500.00
certificate of deposit, which will be used to resurface the parking lot in 1973. He informed
the Council that Spring Lake Park cut the Lakeside Park Commission budget to $8,000.00 per
year, therfore Mounds View must also cut their allocation by a like amount. The Commission
also is awaiting sand seeding approval from the State.
Councilman Pickar announced that one vacancy exists on the Lakeside Park Commission for
' -)unds View resident.
_Jrney Meyers' Report
Attorney Meyers stated that he has in his possession the covenant signed by Mr. Harstad,
requested at the last Council meeting.
MSP (Baumgartner- Hodges) To assent to the order authorizing PBK Investment Company to
vacate Langan Park, register the property, vacate all easements, and file their new plat
(Mounds View Industrial Park) and authorizing the Mayor and Clerk to sign it. 4 Ayes
MSP (Neisen - Baumgartner) To set a hearing for vacating Langan Park Addition for PBK
4 Ayes
Investment Company for January 22nd at 8:30 P.M.
Attorney Meyers informed the Council that several meetings have taken place between him,
Century Motor Freight, and the First National Bank of Minneapolis, trustee. No agreement
has been reached as yet.
Engineer Boehm's Report
MSP (Neisen- Hodges) To authorize the Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for
repainting Water Tower No 1 - Project 1973 -1. 4 Ayes
MQU ( Pickar- Hodges) To authorize the Engineer to prepare the assessment roles for Project
