A Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by Mayor
Neisen at 8 :00 P.M., on February 26, 1973, at the Mounds View Village Hall, 2401
Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112.

Councilman Baumgartner
Councilman Johnson
Councilman Hodges
Councilman Pickar

Clerk- Administrator Zylia
Attorney Schumacher
Engineer Boehm
MSP (Pickar- Hodges) To approve the minutes of February 12, 1973.

Resident Requests and Comments from the Floor:
George Johnson, real estate broker, requested information on the possibility of having
Knollwood Drive north of Ardan Avenue extended to County Road J. Engineer Boehm
explained that in December of 1968 a petition for extending Knollwood was received
and a hearing was held on February 24, 1969. At that hearing the Council voted
tnimously against extending Knollwood Drive due to resident opposition. The 1968
t for water, sewer, street and drainage was estimated at $152,498.00.
Engineer Boehm stated that it was possible to provide limited drainage on Knollwood Drive
without major storm sewer construction. The Council directed Mr. Johnson to present
a valid petition requesting the extension of Knollwood.
Mayor Neisen's Report:
Mayor Neisen stated that the Police have talked with the State Highway Department
and found that it is not illegal to make a U -turn from the center line median on
Highway 10 at Groveland Road, but they will investigate to see if by so doing
a dangerous situation exists.
Mayor Neisen announced that there will be a Ramsey County Legislative Meeting on
February 28 in Roseville.

MSP (Pickar - Johnson) To deny the request for a Transient Merchant License to William
ul, 1923 Washburn No., Mpls. to sell boxed candy due to the unfavorable report
eived from the Police Department.
