'P (Baumgartner - Hodges) To appoint Mrs. Jacqueline Coplin, 5168 Longview Drive, <br />Brighton, to the Recreation Commission. <br />Councilman Pickar's Report: <br />Councilman Pickar read the Lakeside Park Commission minutes of February 22 in <br />which he noted that there was appointment of officers and a tenative date for <br />opening Lakeside Park set at June 10. <br />Mayor Neisen stated that there is a meeting scheduled for February 27 in <br />Spring Lake Park to discuss the Northtown Corridor which revolves around a <br />new river crossing between 1 -694 and Anoka. <br />Mayor Neisen noted that as of 1 :30 P.M., February 25, William Gillespie had <br />22 cars and one wrecker at his property at 2045 Highway 10. <br />Attorney Schumacher's Report: <br />Attorney Schumacher said that with the signing this evening of a number of <br />documents including the bonds by the Mayor and Clerk, little remains to be <br />completed on the Century Motor Freight Industrial Revenue Bond issue. <br />Engineer Boehm's Report: <br />Tngineer Boehm in discussing the possibility of making Jackson Drive from <br />t_ 'lview Road to County Road H2 an MSA street in order to receive State funds for <br />t ! construction of approximately 200 feet of road bed from Pinewood Drive to <br />aunty Road I, noted that County Road H2 is a Village street and H2 from Quincy <br />to Highway 10, a distance of .42 miles is not an MSA street. <br />Engineer Boehm stated that he has received approval from the District 9 Office <br />to designate this portion of H2 an MSA street. If the Council approves this desig- <br />nation, then the State will also approve the designation of Jackson Drive from <br />H2 to Hillview Road, a distance of .74 miles, an MSA street. <br />MSP (Pickar- Hodges) To adopt Resolution No. 595 approving the designation of <br />County Road H2 from Quincy to Highway 10, and Jackson Drive from County Road H2 <br />to Hillview Road as MSA streets. <br />MSP (Hodges - Pickar) To authorize the engineer to prepare a preliminary report <br />and cost estimate for the extension of Jackson Drive from Pinewood to County Road I <br />with additional estimates for widening Jackson Drive. (1973 -3) <br />Engineer Boehm introduced John Bearden,his associate at Comstock and Davis, who <br />will be taking his place as Village Engineer effective April 1. <br />'ASP ( Neisen- Pickar) To hire William Hanggi as public works maintenance man effective <br />• it 15, 1973 at the salary of $809.00 per month during the 6 -month probationary <br />✓ iod with an automatic increase to $859.00 thereafter. <br />5 Ayes <br />5 Ayes <br />5 Ayes <br />5 Ayes <br />
