VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW
RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA
A Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by Mayor
Neisen at 8:00 P.M. on May 14, 1973, at the Mounds View Village Hall, 2401 Highway
#10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112.

MSP (Hodges - Pickar) To approve the minutes of April 23, 1973. 5 Ayes
Resident Requests and Comments from the Floor
Richard Meyers informed the Council that Mrs. Weidemann, who was in attendance, had
submitted to him a copy of a deed transferring five feet of property in Birkeland
Addition from Weidemann to Sakai. Mrs. Weidemann was notified to bring the original
into the Village Office for the Clerk to stamp it, satisfying the Birkeland sub-
division request of March, 1969.
Thomas Dougherty, 2109 Laport inquired whether the individual selling produce at
County Road I and Highway #10 was licensed. He questioned whether there may be a
violation of Health Department regulations and commented that the area becomes
unsightly on certain days. The Clerk was directed to inquire from the Health
Department whether a State violation is occurring.
Ole Bacon, 2265 Highway #10, told the Council that he lives directly across the
street from the area in question and has no objections to it.
Robert Hemming of the Ramsey County Open Space Department requested Council approval
for Ramsey County to acquire .78 acres on the southeast corner of County Road H and
Old Highway #8 for inclusion into the Rice Creek Acquisition Plan.
MSP (Neisen - Baumgartner) To adopt Resolution #601 requesting the Ramsey County
Open Space Office to proceed with the acquisition of the .78 acres for inclusion
in the Rice Creek Plan. (Unplatted lands, Parcel 140 -80).
Mayor Neisen's Report
Mayor Neisen reported on the successful Village Clean Up day which was held on
April 28th. He commended all of the groups that participated with particular
thanks to Ery Herbst, who donated $935.00 worth of men and equipment to remove the
debris.

MSP (Neisen- Hodges) To change the regular Council meeting date from May 28th to
May 29, 1973 due to Memorial Day falling on the regular meeting date. 5 Ayes
Mayor Neisen read the Police Report for April.
