HomeMy WebLinkAboutgr00090_000032_pg083PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY A Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by Mayor Neisen at 8:00 P.M. on August 27, 1973, at the Mounds View Village Hall, 2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112. Present: Mayor Neisen Councilman Hodges Councilman Baumgartner Councilman Johnson Councilman Pickar Also Present: Attorney Meyers Engineer Bearden Clerk - Administrator Zylla MSP (Hodges - Baumgartner) To approve the minutes of August 13, 1973. Mayor Neisen's Report Mayor Neisen announced that the Metropolitan Sewer Board would hold a public hearing on September 12, 1973 at the Fridley City Hall to present their five - year capital improvement program. On police related matters, the Mayor noted that several flags have been stolen in recent weeks and there has been a rash of speeders. The police department has rearranged scheduling to allow for a crackdown on traffic violators. 5 Ayes Clerk- Administrator Zylla's Report MSP (Johnson- Hodges) To approve the licenses: Asphalt - D.J. Krone & Sons, Inc.; Commercial Kennel - Sham -O -Jet Kennel; Masonry - Albin L. Katzner Cement Co.; Mobile Sewage Carrier - Dan's Cesspool; Residential Kennel - Harold G. Brandt, David & Connie Bissonnette, Our Matchmaker Kennels; Sewer & Water - Deans Plumbing & Heating Inc.; Peddler & Solicitor - Daniel McFarlane. The Council decided not to hold a public hearing on revenue sharing funds for the Planned Use Report dated July 1, 1973 through June 30, 1974. They did note that they would announce on the 10th of September their anticipated planned use for the funds totaling $44,266.00 however, and residents would have an opportunity to comment. MSP (Pickar- Hodges) To approve the bills: General Fund checks #7613 through #7649. Payroll Account checks #1039 through #1041. Payroll checks #482 through #517, and transfer check #7647 transferring $10,571.44 to the Payroll Account to pay gross pay of August 30, 1973; from General - $8,330.12, from Water - $1,416.14, from Sewer - $825.18. Total disbursements $20,727.98. MSP (Pickar- Johnson) To enter into a contract with Ramsey County to share on a 50 -50 basis the installation and maintenance costs of a temporary traffic signal at the corner of Quincy Street and County Road I and to authorize the Mayor and Councilman Hodges to sign the agreement. 5 Ayes 5 Ayes 5 Ayes
