Clerk Zylla announced that the petition received last Council Meeting requesting
the removal of the two -hour parking signs on Hillview Road between Quincy Street
and 35 -W was referred to the police. The police chief recommended, and it has been
implemented, that "No Parking" 6:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. signs be substituted on the
north side of the street.
Council concurred with the change noting that if the hours become too restrictive,
they could be changed.
Clerk Zylla stated that deferred assessments from Charles Charrier have been
received. The assessment was made in September 1971 and was paid on September 12,
1973. Receipt #8820.
Clerk Zylla stated that the final report on the water supply system has been received
from the State Health Department and shows no correctable deficiency in the systems
mechanisms or the water quality.
Councilman Baumgartner's Report
Councilman Baumgartner acknowledged receipt of the Woodcrest Park topographical map
from Engineer Comstock and some belting to be used on the warming house floors which
was received from the Minneapolis Post Office.
MSP (Baumgartner- Hodges) To authorize Attorney Meyers to prepare a position
description for the Recreation Director and incorporate it into the Municipal Code.

MSP (Baumgartner- Johnson) To order the Engineer to contact H & S Asphalt Company
instructing them to complete their work including removal of the sand and the rein-
stallation of the sign on the Greenfield Park walkway. 5 Ayes
Councilman Baumgartner noted the high number of mechanized vehicles in Greenfield
Park and employed the police to begin enforcing the regulations that no motorized
vehicles be permitted in the Park.
MSP (Neisen- Pickar) To instruct the Engineer to give H & S Asphalt Company three
days to complete work on the Greenfield Park walkway or the Village will hire someone
to perform the work and will deduct the cost of it from H & S Asphalt Company's
payment in accordance with the contract. 5 Ayes
MSP (Johnson- Hodges) Due to the lateness in the year to instruct the Engineer to
order H & S Asphalt Company to delay their sealcoating on Project 1973 -2 and 1973 -3
until next spring. 5 Ayes
Councilman Pickar's Report
Councilman Pickar announced that both the Lakeside Park Commission and the Human
Rights Commission will meet this week. NSP is to appear at the Lakeside Park
Commission to discuss a lighting plan for the Park.
