CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA
A Regular Meeting of the Mounds View City Council was called to order by Mayor Neisen
at 8:02 P.M. on June 10, 1974, at the Mounds View City Hall, 2401 Highway #10, Mounds
View, Minnesota 55112.

Residents Requests and Comments from the Floor
Several residents again appeared relative to the drainage problem south of County Road
H2 between Red Oak Drive and Sunnyside Road.
Attorney Meyers stated that in order to get a court order to grade the lots of persons
objecting to the work, the City would have to show cause and that the remedy is an
injunctive type.
Mayor Neisen stated that after the last meeting the residents informed the administrator
that they would make a temporary solution and allow Harstad to come in and grade this
Fall. Mr. Harstad has agreed in writing to do so.
Letters were ready to be sent requesting a waiver allowing Mr. Harstad to proceed onto
the property. A gentlemen from the neighborhood said that he would take the waivers
around personally and deliver them signed to the City. They then would want the work
done as soon as possible,not this Fall.
Mayor Neisen's Report
Mayor Neisen read the Police Report for May.
Mayor Neisen read a letter from the Metropolitan Council informing the City that
their population as of April 1, 1974 was calculated at 12,792 persons, an increase of
378 over the past year.
Mayor Neisen announced a meeting of Suburban Mayors and Civil Defense Directors for
June 11th to discuss on -site assistance projects. Councilman Hodges and Civil Defense
Director Smith will attend for the City.
In response to a request by Mr. Benedict, Mayor of Bloomington, Mayor Neisen proclaimed
June 21 to July 21, Victory Month in support of the Minnesota Twins.
