- 13 - <br />Attorney Meyers turned over the original letter he received from Metro, the <br />contract and the copy of the Metro Sewer Boards policy for the Office files. <br />Engineer Bearden's Report: <br />Engineer Bearden reported he had talked to Mr. Anklan and presently the County has <br />no policy to participate in any cost for construction of sidewalks on what the <br />City may initiate. This has been their past policy too. In some cases where <br />the County has initiated it they have gone in on 25% of the cost. <br />Mayor Neisen stated the sidewalk plan would be approximately $214,000. It <br />would not be feasible to get it in for this school year. He suggested pushing <br />the district to pick up the kids. <br />Councilman Baumgartner stated his wife has been attending the school board <br />meetings and sidewalks was on the agenda at tonights meeting. They are still <br />considering the busing of children. <br />Mayor Neisen suggested we wait a couple weeks for further action. <br />Engineer Bearden reported that the contractors are ready to go to work on <br />Project 1974 -1, Storm Sewer for Smith Transfer.
