HomeMy WebLinkAboutgr00090_000035_pg124-3- Mayor Neisen's Report Mayor Neisen read a letter from Governor Anderson requesting that a representative from the Council attend the Governor's Conference on October 9, 1974. Mayor Neisen designated Councilman Pickar to attend the afternoon sessions, and Mayor Neisen will attend the evening sessions. Mayor Neisen received Inspector Skiba's report regarding Construction Equip- ment Service Company's request for a refund of a portion of their plumbing permit. Mayor Neisen requested information on how much of the plumbing project was completed at the time this company was discharged and how much city employee time was required because of the change in plumbers on the Scotland Green project. Councilman Johnson asked whether a refund would be made if the project had not been 100% completed. Mayor Neisen said "No ". Administrator Achen's Report MSP(Hodges- Pickar) To approve the licenses. Gasoline Station - C. J. Peterson - Kunz Oil Co.; Heating - American Burner Service; General Contractor - B & K Builders. 5 Ayes MSP (Neisen- Hodges) To amend the motion to require a Better Business Bureau background check before issuance of the licenses. 5 Ayes MSP (Neisen - Baumgartner) To approve the bills: General Fund Checks #9058 thru 9127, Payroll Acct. Check #1118, Payroll Checks #1358 thru 1391; Transfer Check #9129 transferring $13,055.89 to the Payroll Account to pay gross pay of September 30, 1974 (from General - $10,527.38, from Water - $1,116.00, from Sewer $1,412.51). 5 Ayes MSP (Neisen- Johnson) To approve Check #9130 for $400.00 for the administrator's moving expenses to be included in the next regular meeting Bills for Approval. 5 Ayes MSP (Neisen - Pickar) To designate the Mayor, Councilman Johnson, Councilman Hodges, and Clerk - Administrator Achen as the officials authorized to sign City checks. 5 Ayes MSP (Hodges - Baumgartner) To request that Ramsey County provide snowplowing and sanding service to the City of Mounds View subject to the receipt of the applicable County rates. 5 Ayes MSP (Neisen - Pickar) To hold a public hearing on the 1975 City Budget October 7th at 7:30 P.M. 5 Ayes MSP (Johnson- Hodges) To hire Maridelle Wamhoff as a part -time employee at the same hourly rate of pay she had been compensated as a full -time employee. 5 Ayes MSP (Neisen - Pickar) To change the Regular Council Meetings on October to the 15th and the 29th. 5 Ayes Councilman Baumgartner read the list of proposed part -time recreational staff for the fall programs and their fees. He stated that these programs were self supporting through the fees charged to participants.
