Administrator Achen presented a petition of all Gloria Circle residents requesting installation of street lights. MSP (Hodges - Pickar) To request NSP to install a street light in the cul-de- sac on Gloria Circle and at the Hillview entrace to Gloria Circle. If there is no pole in Mounds View for such installation at the latter point the administrator is to forward the petition and request to the City of Spring Lake Park. 5 Ayes Administrator Achen presented a staff recommendation on the diseased tree removal contract. The recommendation is to award the contract to Whitesell Tree Service. MSP (Neisen- Johnson) To accept the staff recommendation and award the bid to Whitesell Tree Service. Neisen Aye Hodges Aye Johnson Aye Baumgartner Aye Pickar Aye Councilman Hodges' Report Councilman Hodges introduced Mr. Jerry Blanchard of the Mounds View Lions Club who presented the executed agreement for purchase of the civil defense van. He requested that the city assume all liability whenever the van is used by the city. MS (Neisen- Johnson) To sell the civil defense van per the written agreement and further stipulate that if the city reclaims the van and it is used, the city will assume liability.
