Councilman Baumgartner said he feels if a person is not satisfactory
they should be terminated.
Councilman Pickar agreed.
Councilman Shelquist also agreed that unsatisfactory persons should
be terminated during probationary period.
MSP (Pickar - Shelquist) to recommend termination of Joan Greig effective
October 7, 1975, based on staff recommendation. 4 Ayes
Councilman Pickar's Report
Councilman Pickar announced he received the statement of receipts
and fund balances for the year ending December 1974 for Lakeside Park,
summary of Lakeside Park 1975 budget including proposed budget for
1976.
He acknowledged receipt of official attendance of residents for Mounds
View, Spring Lake Park and surrounding communities participation in
the swimming lessons for 1975.
Councilman Shelquist's Retort
Councilman Shelquist announced the Planning Commission meeting to be held
September 24, 1975, at 7:30 p.m.
He said he was uncomfortable about the allowable depth for basement in
the city. He does not think establishing a water table of four feet is going
to protect us in future years.
Attorney Meyers' Report
Attorney Meyers reminded Council of the holiday on October 13.
MSP (Johnson - Pickar) to hold the next regular Council meeting on
October 14, 1975 at 8:00 p.m. 4 Ayes
Engineer Bearden's Report
Engineer Bearden reported on Project 1975 -4 Mounds View Square drainage
improvement. He said the ditch has been regraded, banks have been sodded,
roadside has been seeded. The project is about completed with the
exception of lowering one culvert under the driveway and putting in
a swale to the Highway. He said Don Paster and manager indicated if
the culvert isn't where it is supposed to be they would lower it.
MSP (Baumgartner - Pickar) to cancel Project 1975 -4 Mounds View Square
drainage bid opening scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on 9/25/75. 4 Ayes
Engineer Bearden explained the lighting arrangement for the new
city hall parking lot.
MSP (Baumgartner- Johnson) to adjourn at 12:25 p.m. 4 Ayes
