HomeMy WebLinkAboutgr00090_000038_pg195PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA A special meeting of Mounds View City Council was called to order by Roger Baumgartner on September 25, 1975, at 7:05 p.m. at Mounds View City Hall, 2401 Highway 10, mounds View, Minn. 55112 Present: Councilman Baumgartner Councilman Shelquist Councilman Pickar Absent: Mayor Johnson Councilman Hodges Also Present: Clerk - Admin. Achen Engineer Bearden MSP (Shelquist - Pickar) to appoint Councilman Baumgartner acting Mayor for this meeting. Shelquist Aye Pickar Aye Baumgartner Aye Acting Mayor Baumgartner asked Engineer Bearden to explain bids received on construction of the city hall parking lot. Bearden noted there were 6 bidders with Forest Lake Construction, Inc., being lowest bidder. Engineer Bearden indicated Rice Creed Watershed District did not approve the original parking 1ot design. They have required that a baffled weir be constructed with each catch basin. Plans call for two catch basins. Council discussed alternations in Schedule C- Landscaping anc came to the conclusion that city forces could do part of this work. They discussed the sidewalk leading to the tot lot and decided that it was not necessary, because the restrooms are in the maintenance building which is on the other side of the tot lot. MSP ( Pickar- Baumgartner) to accept low bid of Forest Lake Construction, Inc. for city hall parking lot in the amount of $37,799.50. 3 Ayes
