CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW

A regular meeting of Mounds View City Council was called to order by
Mayor Johnson on October 27, 1975, at 8:07 p.m., at Mounds View City
Hall, 2401 Highway 10, Mounds View, Mn. 55112
Present: Mayor Johnson
Councilman Hodges
Councilman Baumgartner
Councilman Pickar
Councilman Shelquist
Also Present: Clerk -Adm. Achen
Attorney Meyers
Engineer Bearden
MSP (Baumgartner- Hodges) to approve the minutes of October 14, 1975
Council meeting with the following corrections:
Page 4, 10th paragraph, second sentence should read, Councilman Shelquist
said County Road J is classified as a minor arterial. He said he talked
to Mr. Clark of Ramsey County Records and Research who showed him a map
of the existing County Road J road bed after being relocated in Blaine.
Page 6, 4th paragraph, should be corrected to read, M (Shelquist) to
amend the previous motion to grant a variance as requested by Duane
McCarty, 8060 Long Lake Road between his home and the home of William
Frits, 8206 Long Lake Road, because of the several misunderstandings
and inconveniences caused these people by the city office and because
the Planning Commission indicated approval when they heard it as a
non -fee item. The motion was withdrawn because Attorney Meyers ruled
that Council did not have the power to grant variances.
Page 6, 6th paragraph, should read Councilman Baumgartner said he feels
the $50 fee should still be paid, because the office staff made an
innocent mistake.
Page 6, 4th paragraph from bottom of page, second sentence should read,
He said it is unsightly but has no objection to one permanent sign to adver-
tise the market.
Page 6, fifth line from bottom of page, should read M(Shelquist) that
the multiple signs be taken down.
Page 7, 7th paragraph, should read MSP (Johnson- Hodges) to approve
the minor subdivision request of Mr. Schluter creating two lots on
Pleasant View and one on Spring Lake Road.
Page 7, fifth line from bottom of page, should read MSP (Baumgartner -
Johnson) to reconsider the original motion of Schluter minor subdivision
request.
Page 8, second paragraph from bottom of page, the word "to" should be
inserted between the words drainage and ditch.
