Rides will be open to the public June 16 and 17th and then June 18 and 19th for Polka Festival participants. The area will be fenced for security. Achen read the resolution proposing that the City participate in the Crime Prevention Reward Fund Program which is sponsored by the North Suburban Area Chamber of Commerce. Basically, the Program is designed to encourage citizens who might not otherwise act as informants for fear of reprisals of some sort by aiding the anonymity of the informant as much as possible. The intent is to provide tips and leads to the Police Dept. MSP (Pickar- Ziebarth) to adopt Resolution No. 809 "Approving North Suburban Crime Prevention and Criminal Apprehension Fund." 5 ayes PROPOSED TRAFFIC IMPROVEMENT AT THE INTERSECTION OF TRUNK HIGHWAY 10 AND COUNTY ROAD H Engineer Hubbard explained that the Department of Transportation is proposing to channelize traffic on County Road H as it enters Highway 10 by construction of islands and some striping. When first approached with the proposal, staff was concerned about the length of the island south of Highway 10 which would prevent traffic going southeast on Highway 10 from entering onto Old Highway 8. Staff met with the State and they agreed to shorten the island and put up a "don't block intersection" sign. The ultimate solution to the traffic problem at Co. Rd. H and Hwy. 10 is to move Old Highway 8 300' westerly of that intersection,
