The consent agenda is a technique designed to expedite handling of
routine and miscellaneous official business of the City Council. The
entire agenda may be adopted by the Council in one motion. The motion
for adoption is non - debatable and must receive unanimous approval. By
request of any individual Council member, any item can be removed from
the consent agenda and placed upon the regular agenda for debate.
ITEM A. Appoint Sharon Ackermann, clerk - typist, a regular full -time
employee effective May 14, 1978, at an hourly rate of $3.95.
ITEM B. Appoint Chester Glisan as a member of the Storm Sewer Advisory
Task Force.
ITEM C. Appoint Stephen Johnson as a summer laborer effective May 30,
1978, at an hourly rate of $3.25.
ITEM D. Adopt Ordinance No. 278 amending the Municipal Code by revising
Chapter 23 "Park and Playground Fund ". This is a corrective
ordinance to reference the proper section of Chapter 42
regarding park dedications at the time of subdivision.
ITEM E. Adopt Resolution No. 898 requesting the Metropolitan Council
HRA to apply for rehabilitation grant funds for the City to
participate in Phase III of the Minnesota Housing Finance
Agency Home Improvement Grant Program. This is for third year
funding of the Program. Mounds View's estimated allocation is
$6,414.
ITEM F. Receive the April, 1978, activity reports of the police,
legal, fire, and nuisance abatement departments.
ITEM G. Receive the Engineer's feasibility report on Silver Lake
Road utility improvements, Project 1978 -6. Reschedule the
public hearing on this project from 8:00 to 7:40 PM on June 12,
1978.
ITEM H. Receive the Engineer's feasibility report on extension of
Edgewood Drive between Hillview Road and County Road I, Project
1978 -5. Direct staff to prepare a traffic impact study including
existing and projected traffic counts and traffic control
alternatives. Authorize expenditure for planning consulting
in this regard not to exceed $1,000 which shall be charged to
the street improvement project. Reschedule the public hearings
on this project and the Mounds View Square Addition preliminary
plat from June 12 to June 26 at 7:40 and 7:50 PM respectively.
Direct the city engineer to prepare a feasibility report for
the drainage improvements in the vicinity of Project 1978 -6.
ITEM I. Receive December 31, 1977, financial statement from audit firm
George M. Hansen Company.
ITEM J. Approve the May 22, 1978, bills for payment.
