decision was made regarding the ticket he had received. Attorney Meyers replied
that he had not been notified of any decision yet.
Attorney Meyers explained that the Court had wanted a public hearing held again
to allow the Stimpsons another opportunity to address the issue.
Charlotte Fields, 2255 Lambert asked what the reason was the ordinance was originally
passed. Councilmember Ziebarth replied that it was based on the increasing number of
complaints the City received on the vehicles.
Mr. Wold asked why trucks were allowed to park at the Launching Pad. Mayor Pickar
replied that the ordinance was written to cover residential property and the
Launching Pad is commercial property.
Councilmember Baumgartner pointed out that the ordinance does not prohibit the
delivery of furniture or any service -type vehicle.
The Mayor asked the Council three times if they wanted to amend, repeal or
modify part of Chapter 81 and the Council took no action.
Mayor Pickar closed the public hearing and reopened the general meeting.
APPROVAL OF CONSENT AGENDA
MSP (Rowley - Baumgartner) to approve the consent agenda as follows: 5 ayes
ITEM A. Appoint Sharon Ackermann, clerk - typist, a regular full -time
employee effective May 14, 1978, at an hburly rate of $3.95.
ITEM B. Appoint Chester Glisan as a member of the Storm Sewer Advisory
Task Force.
ITEM C. Appoint Stephen Johnson as a summer laborer effective May 30,
1978, at an hourly rate of $3.25.
ITEM D. Adopt Ordinance No. 278 amending the Municipal Code by revising
Chapter 23 "Park and Playground Fund ". This is a corrective
ordinance to reference the proper section of Chapter 42
regarding park dedications at the time of subdivision.
ITEM E. Adopt Resolution No. 898 requesting the Metropolitan Council
HRA to apply for rehabilitation grant funds for the City to
participate in Phase III of the Minnesota Housing Finance
Agency Home Improvement Grant Program. This is for third year
funding of the Program. Mounds View's estimated allocation is
$6,414.
ITEM F. Receive the April, 1978, activity reports of the police,
legal, fire, and nuisance abatement departments.
ITEM G. Receive the Engineer's feasibility report on Silver Lake
Road utility improvements, Project 1978 -6. Reschedule the
public hearing on this project from 8:00 to 7:40 PM on June 12,
1978.
