Administrator Achen reported that Steve Rose plans to marry and would like to
honeymoon in Europe for about 30 days. He will have accumulated 25 days vacation
effective on his anniversary date of June 9th and request Council authorization
to carry over the five extra days in order to accrue sufficient time to vacation
in January or February.
Mayor Pickar asked if there have been similar requests in the past. Administrator
Achen replied that there have been such only for sick leave.
MSP (Baumgartner - Ziebarth) to allow Building and Zoning Official Rose to carry
over five extra days of his vacation. 5 ayes
ATTORNEY MEYERS' REPORT
Attorney Meyers had no report.
ENGINEER HUBBARD'S REPORT
Engineer Hubbard had no report.
COUNCILMEMBER HODGES' REPORT
Councilmember Hodges had no report.
COUNCILMEMBER BAUMGARTNER'S REPORT
Councilmember Baumgartner reported that people had been interviewed on May 15
for the Planning Commission vacancy.
MSP (Baumgartner- Hodges) to appoint Dennis Quan to fill the vacancy on the Planning
Commission through 1979. 5 ayes
COUNCILMEMBER ROWLEY'S REPORT
Councilmember Rowley reported that she had spoken to members of Playground, Inc.
and will be meeting on May 25 to discuss the park. Councilmember Rowley presented
a draft of a resolution to the Council which she stated she would be presenting to
the Park Commission and Spring Lake Park. She added that Playground Inc. would be
asked to attend the first meeting in June.
COUNCILMEMBER ZIEBARTH'S REPORT
Councilmember Ziebarth reported that the May 25 Park Commission meeting had been
changed to June 1 at 6:30 PM and the June 22 meeting to June 29, at 6:30 PM, due to
a number of conflicts with other meetings and vacations.
MAYOR PICKAR'S REPORT
MSP (Pickar-Ziebarth) to accept the resignation of Duane McCarty from the Task
Force.
