Peter Sargent asked if the Task Force had received a copy of the project. Admini-
strator Achen replied the information on the three public hearings was to be discussed
at the last Task Force meeting but it was his understanding that they did not allow
time to discuss the projects.
Engineer Hubbard pointed out that the Mounds View Square addition was originally
discussed in March, and that the Karlen addition is a minor subdivision which does
not fall under Resolution No. 892.
Mayor Pickar stated that if the Task Force runs out of time at their meetings to
discuss all the projects, they can stop by City Hall during the day to pick up the
information.
Mayor Pickar closed the public hearing and reopened the regular meeting.
CITIZENS COMMENTS AND REQUESTS (CONTINUED)
Ron Kritzic, 2512 County Road H2 expressed concern with the speed limit along County
Road H2, since it is 40 mph from Silver Lake Road to Highway 10, but 30 mph on most
other city streets. He added that his dog had been hit the previous week by a driver
who could not stop in time.
Mayor Pickar pointed out that it is a County road, and that any requests would have to
be directed to the County. Administrator Achen added that in order for the City to
request the County change a speed limit, a resolution must be adopted.
Councilmember Ziebarth asked if a petition from the residents would be of any help.
Attorney Meyers replied that it could back up the resolution. Councilmember Ziebarth
then expressed concern that the petition be clearly worded so people would know what
they where signing.
Mayor Pickar asked that a petition from the citizens be presented at the next Council
meeting and in the meantime, the Council would prepare the resolution.
