ITEM D. Approve, as recommended by the Planning Commission (6/14/78
minutes), the minor subdivision of John C. Weinand to create
two lots from property located at 8394 Spring Lake Road. The
east lot fronting Spring Lake Road shall be 110 feet wide x 234
feet deep; the west lot fronting Pleasant View Drive shall be
80.72 feet on the western most line, 103.68 feet deep on the
north line to a point where it extends north 30 feet and then
west 66 feet, 110 feet on the east line and 159 feet on the
south line. A variance of 4.28 feet shall be granted for the
substandard frontage on Pleasant View Drive. The reasons for
granting this variance are that the city approved this in concept
when it approved the Rosenquist Addition and that the property
has a sanitary sewer service stub for which it has been assessed.
ITEM E. Confirm appointment by the Clerk- Administrator of Eva Melhouse
as deputy clerk and Donald Brager as deputy treasurer.
ITEM F. Authorize payment to Public Works Superintendent Larry Decheine
for four weeks of unused vacation leave earned in 1974 and 1975,
Payment shall be made in two installments: in fiscal year 1978
two weeks at the employee's 1974 salary rate and in fiscal year
1979 two weeks at his 1975 salary rate. The employee's vacation
leave balance shall comply with the provisions of Chapter 6.24 of
the Municipal Code effective upon his employment anniversary
date in 1978. The City Administrator is directed to assure that
all employees' vacation leave balances comply with the terms of
Chapter 6.24 limiting carry -over accumulation to ten days.
ITEM G. Accept resignations of Walter Skiba and Dennis Quan from the
Storm Sewer Advisory Task Force and confirm the appointment
of Loie Halseth, 7666 Knollwood Drive, thereto.
ITEM H. Reschedule the July 3 Council agenda session to 7:00 PM,
Thursday, July 6.
ITEM I. Receive the May, 1978, activity reports of the city attorney,
police, fire and nuisance abatement departments.
ITEM J. Approve the June 26, 1978, bills for payment.
