ADMINISTRATOR ACHEN'S REPORT
Administrator Achen reported that the Council would be meeting for a budget work
session after the Council meeting was adjourned.
ATTORNEY MEYERS' REPORT
Attorney Meyers reported that a hearing had been held on Mounds View Square's motion
for a new trial and that the judge had denied the motion.
COUNCILMEMBER HODGES' REPORT
Councilmember Hodges had no report.
COUNCILMEMBER BAUMGARTNER'S REPORT
Councilmember Baumgartner reported that the Planning Commission would be meeting on
September 27 at 7:30.
Councilmember Baumgartner stated that two meetings earlier, Neil Loeding had given
him information concerning Council action from 1972 regarding improving services
and storm sewer for the City. Councilmember Baumgartner stated that after reviewing
the information and minutes Mr. Loeding had given him, he felt Mr. Loeding's statements
could not be substantiated. He added that one of the reports Mr. Loeding had given
him dealt with Ramsey Countys open space program and did not deal with storm water
problems at all. Councilmember Ziebarth agreed that the Task Force interpretation
of this information seems erroneous.
MSP (Baumgartner - Ziebarth) that the Comstock and Davis report of June 5, 1972,
regarding open space within the village which could be made available for the
Ramsey County open space program be made part of the minutes,

COUNCILMEMBER ROWLEY'S REPORT
Councilmember Rowley reported that the Ramsey County League meeting was scheduled for
September 27, to deal with open space, and that she would try to attend.
COUNCILMEMBER ZIEBARTH'S REPORT
Councilmember Ziebarth stated that the Park and Recreation department would be meeting
at 6:30 on September 28.
MAYOR PICKAR'S REPORT
Mayor Pickar reported that he had received a letter from Tom Foster of Roto Rooter
regarding dredging the man made lake.
Administrator Achen reported that Staff is checking into draining the lake and that
Roto Rooter is indefinite about the quantity to come out of the lake.
