Attorney Meyers reported on negotiations with Kraus - Anderson for
purchase of 19 acres for park purposes. He feels that condemnation
might not be appropriate, since the LAWCON grant could be insufficient
to pay condemnation prices for the 19 acres. Attorney Meyers asked that
staff let him know what options are available to the city under the
grant regulations.
Administrator Achen reported that the Metropolitan Council will
conduct a public hearing on its proposed Solid and Hazardous Waste
Management Policy Plan December 19, 1978. He indicated that the next
agenda session will be devoted to the five year street construction
program required by the State Aid Section of Mn /DOT.
