A rollcall vote was taken: Councilmember Ziebarth - aye Councilmember Hodges - nay Councilmember Forslund - nay Councilmember Rowley - aye Mayor McCarty - nay 3 nays, 2 ayes Councilmember Ziebarth stated that he felt an uneven lot split could create problems in the future. He added that the garage as it is now presents no problems unless the owner wants to subdivide, which he has requested now, so he should be required to meet code. Official Rose pointed out that the applicant will be in violation when he comes in for a building permit if the proposed home has a double garage. Jerry Linke, 2219 Knoll Drive stated that a precedence has been set on the block for equal lot splits and that if the applicant was required to take out the large garage door, he could just as easily continue on and cut it down to size on that end and meet code. Mr. Kremer explained that his parents own two lots which they would like to develop, and which require services, and presented their proposed plan.
