settlement check from State Farm Insurance for the last accident, which.
covered 100 percent of the claim. He stated that they have more than
ample funds for purchasing a new unmarked car and that they would like
to purchase a Grenada from Brookdale Ford for $5363.
MSP (McCarty - Hodges) to authorize the Police Department to purchase
the Grenada in the amount of $5363 from Brookdale Ford.

Councilmember Rowley asked that it be noted the 100 percent refund
amounted to $7583.04.
SINGEWALD ROOFING COST OVERRUN
Acting Administrator Anderson reviewed the high percentile cost overrun in
the Public Works Department for the work done on Pump House No. 1 and
No. 2. He also recommend that Council direct Staff to draft a policy
to determine how future problems should be handled.
MSP (Rowley- McCarty) to pay the entire bill of $7715.91, to come from
the water utility fund, to include the overrun amount of $2809.91. 4 ayes
Councilmember Rowley asked that Staff address the problem and come up
with a recommendation for the Council.
ACTING ADMINISTRATOR ANDERSON'S REPORT
Acting Administrator Anderson reviewed the upcoming meeting schedule.
He also reported on the City undertaking the maintenance of the fire
vehicles. Councilmember Ziebarth recommended that it be tried on a
trial basis for a set number of months, and that they look at the work
load before making any decision.
Acting Administrator Anderson reported that he would be viewing the
Ronald McDonald Puppet Wagon and that the City had been invited to
bid on it if they were interested.
MSP (Ziebarth- Rowley) to authorize Staff to negotiate the purchase of
the vehicle, particularly the Ronald McDonald Puppet Truck, with the
understanding that the Staff Management Team review the proposal and
the mechanic inspect the truck, with $900 allowed for the truck and
an additional $300 for a maintenance face -life, with the money to be
funded by the City Contingency Fund, with a maximum of $1200. 4 ayes
