Rowley made the motion, seconded by Hodges
that a letter be drafted to the Mounds View
Jaycees from the Council thanking them for
time and efforts put in on the Lakeside Park
Pavillion. Without their help, it would have
been much more costly.

Rowley questioned the School providing space
instead of money to the Youth Service Board.
Hodges indicated the Board had previously been
paying rent, so the space provided by the School
will represent a savings to them.
Hodges Report: He thanked the City Administrator
for implementing the information box for Council -
members which he suggested at the last meeting.
Ziebarth's Report: He advised there will be no
Park $ Recreation Commission meeting this month.
Instead, citizens are invited to the Ramsey
County Fair.
Mayor's Report: The Mayor advised Councilmembers
of two upcoming meetings: 1) July 25 for as many
Councilmembers as possible with the Planning
Commission Chairperson in the Administrator's
office, and 2) a Metro Municipalities Seminar
on July 30, 1979.
The Mayor asked the status of: 1) the stop sign
at Sherwood $ Sunnyside Ave. Nelson advised that
signs will be installed as soon as possible.
2) if any applicants had come forward for the
ex officio position for Planning Commission.
Nelson stated there were none as yet.
3) if the City had a statement regarding the
Highway 10 relocation. Nelson stated there
will be a draft prepared for the next agenda
session. 4) Re: sign installation request from
Compassionate Christian Center - -the Mayor feels
signs on private property should be their
responsibility. He directed Staff to check on
the signs for Hillview. Forslund stated church
members should be encouraged to use the nearby
triangle of land for a parking lot, rather
than parking in the street.
