Forslund: 1) Announced that the first Comp. 6. REPORTS OF COUNCIL -
Plan meeting will be Oct. 24 at 7:00 PM. MEMBERS /ADMINISTRATOR
2) Stated that she and the City Administrator
will be attending the Urban Soil Errosion &
Sediment Control conference for the next
three days.
Hodges: Stated he had attended the Firemen's
Relief Association meeting. They will be
updating their by -laws; Hodges will keep
the Council informed.
Ziebarth: Re: setting up a meeting with MnDOT
on the Hwy. 10 north alternate- -have not gotten
a firm date as yet, although it looks like Nov. 7
may be a possible date. City Administrator will
firm up with those concerned.
Nelson: 1) Has sent Council a memo re: the
Police Department vacancy. Civil Service
is ready to start screening applicants;
therefore formal approval from Council is
needed to advertise to fill the vacancy.
The funds are covered, as it was budgeted.
Ziebarth made the motion, seconded by Forslund,
to authorize Chief Grabowski to begin the
selection process for the Patrolman position
vacancy in the Police Department.

2) Re- keying City Hall: Control needs to be
regained with a better key policy, i.e.,
restricting number of keys handed out to
a minimum, and making sure keys are returned.
McCarty made the motion, seconded by Ziebarth,
to authorize the City Administrator to proceed
with the final recommendation for re- keying
City Hall, found in the fifth paragraph of
his memo dated 10/5/79:
...recommend purchase of 5 restricted
key way cylinders for exterior doors
only at a cost of $160, plus new cylinders
for interior doors at a cost of $179,
and also 2 security gates for basement
stairwells at a cost of $200. Total
cost would be $539 plus 95fi for each
key needed...."
for a total cost of $550.00.
