McCarty directed Staff to request S.E.H.
to brief Council on Project 1979 -3 at an
agenda session. Mr. Kremer indicated he
and his son as well as other property owners
would like to attend this session.
Rose reported he has received calls from
residents wanting information about the
status of the Halvorson proposal, i.e.,
Knollwood Rd. extension, etc. He recommended
an informal work session for concerned
residents, Halvorson representatives, and
Staff. Given a week's notice, Staff would
notify press and reserve City Hall for
such a work session.
Parks, Recreation & Forestry Director
Anderson outlined the procedure followed
by the Mounds View Parks & Recreation
Commission in selecting a consultant to
update the Comprehensive Parks and Open
Space Plan.
McCarty moved, seconded by Ziebarth, that
Saunders & Thalden be given conceptual
approval for Staff to begin negotiating a
formal contract not to exceed $15,000 for
the specific planning services as outlined
in their proposal dated November 5, 1979
and the Mounds View Parks & Recreation
Commission letter dated October 26, 1979.

PARKS & OPEN SPACE PLAN
Mayor McCarty congratulated the Parks &
Recreation Commission for the good work they were
performing.
Rowley: No report 8. REPORTS OF COUNCIL -
MEMBERS /ADMINISTRATOR
Ziebarth: No report
Forslund: No report
Hodges: Stated he had received complaints
about County Rd. I between Silver Lake Rd.
and Spring Lake Rd. because of the sharp
bend, narrowness, and heavy truck traffic.
Hodges will request the County take a look
at the road.
McCarty: 1) Called attention to Resolution
#1049 re: appointment of 7 members to the
Mounds View Cable TV Commission.
