Neil Loeding, 5046 Longview Drive, wanted the Council members linked with A.C.T.I.O.N. News to identify themselves. These residents were advised by the Mayor, Councilmember Ziebarth, and Administrator Nelson that these matters were political in nature and not relevant to the Council meeting. Nelson: 1) Advised there will be no Planning Commission meeting 11/28. There will, however, be two other meetings on the 28th: Charter Commission at its regular time, and the IR /DFL at 7:30 PM. 2) An information meeting of the developer and the public will take place on the 27th re: the Halvorson proposed development. 3) Asked if any Councilmember was interested in attending a U of MN conference which he cannot attend re: economic development and soliciting information from residents. 4) Informed of Dennis Quan's resignation 5. REPORTS OF COUNCIL - MEMBERS /ADMINISTRATOR Halvorson proposal informational meeting Planning Commission from Planning Commission. resignation Forslund moved to accept, with regrets, the resignation of Dennis Quan from Planning Commission. It was seconded by Rowley. The motion carried. 4 ayes 0 nays Forslund moved to officially appoint Sharon McCarthy to Dennis Quan's unexpired Planning Commission term. It was seconded by McCarty. The motion carried. 4 ayes 0 nays Nelson requested the New Brighton Bulletin representative to solicit applicants for the ex official Planning Commission position. 5) Passed out the following information re: - Ramsey County League of Government general membership meeting - Proposition 13 shifting taxes - Airport Commission special meeting - Bicycle Safety Program
