Road H2. Petition was given to Nelson, whowiii get a cost estimate, and verify procedure according to the policies set earlier. Bruce Anderson reported to Council the steps that have been taken by the Parks & Recreation Commission in negotiating a three-phase contract with Saunders & Thalden Inc. to develop and deliver master park concept plans for nitre individual park sites for the City. Ziebarth moved that the Mayor and Council enter into the contract agreement with Saunders & Thalden, Inc., including the three modifications as outlined in Anderson's memo of 12/7/79, same subject. It was seconded by Rowley. The motion carried. 5 ayes 0 nays Anderson introduced Jeff Stottlemeyer, a college student who will be working at no cost to the City on a twelve-week intern- ship (with credit) in the Parks & Recreation Department. Anderson reported on the L.A.W.C.O.N. grant for Phase / of a three-phase program-- development of Silver View Park. The major issue in approval of this grant for this development will impact on park maintenance, justifying the need for a third full-time employee in 1981. Hodges moved to approve the Fhase I of L.A.W.C.O.N. grant, the federal portion in the amount of $52,550. It was seconded by Ziebarth. The motion carried. 5 ayes 0 nays Rose reported that Staff is reviewing the completion of Mustang Circle extension. Staff will plan to present a report at the next Council meeting. Nelson said the public hearings for Bayport Acres and Richard Charbonneau property were tentatively echeduled, but time did not allow for adequate public notice.
