HomeMy WebLinkAboutgr00090_000051_pg263MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL Special Meeting Page 4 December 17, 1979 The December 5, 1979 minutes were approved as amended. 4 ayes 0 nays (Hodges abstained 1 since he had not attended that meeting) The City Engineer, Dan Boxrud, reported on the feasibility of a water main project on Silver Lake Road, North of County Road I. The project appears to be feasible but, not practical. Mayor McCarty moved to set a Public Hearing on January 14, 1980 at 7:40 p.m. to be developed under M.S. 429. Ziebarth seconded the motion which carried. 5 ayes 0 nays The Director of Parks and Recreation and the Building Official updated the Council on the status of Silverview Park acquisition. The Staff wanted to get Council reaction to the following items: 1) The developer wanted to develop the property under PUD. 2) The Staff and the developer believe that their plans are consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan. 3) The City Staff and developer agree on the general interior road plan. 4) The City Staff believes that major issue in the development is drainage 5) The City Staff felt that their are other environmental issues, primarily the preservation of trees on the property. 6) The developer has requested zero lot lines, the Staff generally agrees. The Council discussed with the staff the above mentioned issue and generally agreed. The Council emphasized that the Staff should move slowly and within legal framework of the codes and signed contracts. Mayor McCarty moved to allow the Staff continue with the project and granted conceptual approval of the Silverview Park Plan and development. Rowley seconded the motion which carried. (5 -0) 6.
