position on Park & Rec. Comm.
13) Gave out letter form Jan Shauls re: the Anoka
Airport.
14) Noted League of MN Cities Seminar on February
20. Mayor requested a reservation.
15) Noted League of MN Cities Seminar for Elected
Officials.
16) Asked if people using the facilities of City
Hall should be charged a fee - -will be discussed at
1/21 meeting.
Forslund: 1) Forslund moved to accept the resigna-
tion of Raelynn Nyberg. It was seconded by
Ziebarth.
The motion carried.

3) Re: City job openings -- Forslund moved that,
when qualified Mounds View citizens apply for
employment positions, they should have preference,
when possible. It was seconded by McCarty.

4) Re: the Machmeier discussion - Forslund moved
to take from the table the motion (Mayor McCarty
moved to authorize the payment of $1,000 for the
report received on the 17th of July, 1979) found
in minutes of Dec. 17, 1979. Mayor seconded.

A discussion followed regarding whether Dr. Mach -
meier should be paid the entire $1,000 for his
report and the report be utilized by the City,
despite questions as to the authorization for the
report.
Ziebarth called for the question. It was seconded
by Rowley.
