HomeMy WebLinkAboutgr00090_000052_pg029MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL Page 3 Regular Meeting January 28, 1980 2) Asked if anyone was interested in attending a meeting of the Fridley EQB Board Feb. 6 at which a PCA representative will be speaking re: noise control. 3) Requested registration for the League of Cities Legislative Seminar Feb. 20, as she will be a panelmember. 4) Asked Attorney Meyers what information he had regarding Lakeside Park. Meyers explained steps that could be taken in turning over the park to the county - -his general recommendation is to convey the park to Playground Inc. and then to the county. Playground Inc. should be apprised of the matter and then meet with Council. Staff will send copies of the Attorney's opinion to Spring Lake Park City Council and to Playground Inc. Ziebarth: 1) Reported a discussion with Commissioner Orth re: Ramsey County Action program liaison. 2) Silver View Park - -this subject will be coming up in February. A possible timetable is: February 6 Bruce Anderson will meet with Planning Commission to update them; February 20 Planning Commission will review the proposal with the developer; February 25 Anderson will make a presentation to Council. McCarty: 1) Reported a call from VFW to request a Councilmember attend a meeting honoring two Mounds View policemen. 2) Suggested that the Quarterly Report of the Dept. Heads be done in two segments at the March 10 and 24 meetings. Nelson will work out a timeframe and order of personnel appearance. 3) Commission Appointments: McCarty moved that Marilynne Dennehy and Donna Bowman be appointed as Park and Recreation Com- missioners, term ending 12/31/82.
