2) Bids for vehicles - -City will take
sealed bids for 7 new vehicles until
9:00 AM Feb. 11. Bidders do not have
to bid on all 7 vehtles.
Rowley moved to authorize publication
for vehicle bidding, opening Feb. 5,
1980 at 9:00 AM. Seconded by Hodges.

3) Distributed a memo from the Finance
Director re: Extended 1979 General Fund
Revenues and Expenditures.

4) Re: Carrying forward 1979 funds from
the City's share of Enforcement Grant- -
Nelson was instructed to draft a resolution.
5) Street light re- submission: Nelson
sent to Building& Zoning, Public Works,
and Police Dept. Replies should be
back by the Council meeting Feb. 4.
6) Re: memo from Finance Director on
mailing machine --
Ziebarth moved to authorize purchase of
a mailing machine at a cost of $2,347.00
as provided for in the 1980 budget. It
was seconded by Hodges.

7) Re: Extension of submittal deadline
of Comprehensive Plan --
McCarty moved to ask Met Council for an
extension of deadline for Comprehensive
Plan submission of one year. It was
seconded by Forslund.
The motion carried.

8) Union Contract Language -- Local
negotiations will begin shortly. 7
demands are down to 1. Will be presented
to Council for recommendation.
9) Received fuel delivery and paid $1.09
and $1.04, excluding tax. Nelson has
talked to mechanic ,to explore converting
police car to propane.
10) Newsletter -- Need articles from
Councilmembers by Wed., Jan. 30.
