Ziebarth abstained because he was
not in attendance of that meeting.
Dave Notaro requested to be heard by 4. PERSONS OR PETITIONS HEARD
the City Council. He raised a question FROM THE FLOOR
as to the status of the Arden Avenue
Drainage issue. He reminded the City
Council that he made his first appear-
ance over this issue before the City
Council in the year 1976 and still did
not feel he had an adequate answer from
the City Council. He also noted to the
Council the number of projects or studies
that had been considered to improve the
potentially damaging flooding situation
in that neighborhood. The City Council
responded to the issues raised by Mr.
Notaro by informing him of the progress
that had been made on the cleaning of
the sewer lines by the City employees,
and went on to say that it was a priority
item to be completed in 1980. Further,
that the City recognized that some ditch
cleaning would have to be accomplished
and were attempting to solicit some
reasonably low bids to accomplish that
work.
Finally they stated that before a check
valve would be considered for any system
in the area that the other work must be
completed and that drainage flows would
have to be determined in order to locate
the proper position for the proposed
check valve.
The Council agreed that this storm sewer
cleaning of the Arden Avenue area was a
high priority in 1980.
Councilman Ziebarth reported that the 5. COUNCIL REPORT
Park & Recreation Commission would be COUNCILMAN ZIEBARTH
meeting at 7:30 P.M. on Thursday, Feb.
28th. He further stated that he antici-
pated that there would be discussion on
the proposed Silverview Park.
