The ensuing conversation resulted in a general concensus that there was not a need for the City to make such appoint- ment. Staff was directed to prepare a letter stating the City Councils position on this matter to TRA. 6. COUNCILMAN ROWLEY'S REPORT Councilmember Rowley requested the Councils intentions on the action alert received from the League of Cities regarding the Municipal Bond Interest Rate bills. It was generally decided by the City Council that each would respond individually on this matter. Rowley next reported that Ramsey County Commissioners would be meeting at 7:30 AM on March 17,1980 for the purpose of dis- cussing the acquisition of Lakeside Park. Mayor had one issue that he wanted to discuss with the City Council which was the utilization of the name Mounds View on letters sent by the residents. He felt that the City could inform the public through the City Newsletter that they could use the term Mounds View on their mail as long as they used the proper zipcode. There was some appre- hension expressed by the City Council on that issue. 7. MAYOR MC CARTY'S REPORT The first item that the Councilmember 8. COUNCILMAN HODGES REPORT brought up was membership on the N.W. Suburban Youth Service Bureau,. They had submitted a copy of their By -laws and Summary of their 1979 Activities as well as a Proposed Budget for 1981. They also provided additional copies to be put in the Council Library.
