(Note to the Reader;the City Charter requires that Ordinance be published at least one and will not go into affect for at least thirty (30) days after that publication or longer, depending on the language con- tained in the Ordinance. The Administrator noted that under his reports would be the first Quarterly Reports from the Department Heads. Scheduled for the evening were the Finance Director /Treasurer, Public Works Superintendent and the Building & Zoning Official. Nelson stated that the Finance Director was home ill and would be unable to attend this parti- cular meeting and asked to be re- scheduled to the 24th of March. With that the Superintendent of Public Works proceeded to give his report on the Public Works Department. Superintendent organized his report based on operational organization of the department. He noted that the department was organized into streets, water, sewer, and garage maintenance section. He noted to the Council that the City had done very well in the snowplowing due to the lack of snow, however, was concerned about the price of fuel. A question that was raised both by Council and the public was over the cleaning of the Storm Sewers. The Superintendent stated that the City crews would be working on that as soon as practicable. The Building & Zoning Administrator gave his report next, stating what he felt the department and the Planning Commis- sion would be achieving during the year 1980. Rose also noted that he would be attending a MAC Meeting on Wednesday, March 12th. 11. ADMINIS.TRATOR'S REPORT
