Mayor McCarty:
1. McCarty suggested the possibility of
the supervision of Lakeside Park being handled
by the Park and Recreation Director, rather
than hiring a specific individual. This
could result in a savings of some $4200.
2. Planning Commission appointments:
-Ken Breske has asked to remain a member
designate since he has personal commitments
that could prevent his attendance at the
meetings as a full member.
-Jean Miller, member designate, will be
appointed to fill the vacancy left by
Commissioner Burmeister. The term will be
through 1981.
MOTION:
Forslund made a motion, seconded by Ziebarth,
to approve the appointment of Jean Miller
to the Planning Commission (replacing Com-
missioner Burmeister's vacancy) through
1981.
Ayes-4 Nays-0 MOTION CARRIES
-The remaining vacancy (Commissioner Goebel's
former position) will continue to be advertised
for a couple more weeks.
Ziebarth made a motion, seconded by Rowley,
to adjourn the August 25, 1980, City Council
meeting.
