Rowley made a motion, seconded by Ziebarth, to
direct Administrator Pauley to answer the
survey and to check Option #2.
Ayes-5 Nays-0 MOTION CARRIES
2. There is a vacancy on the Rice Creek Watershed
District Board. She asked Administrator Pauley
to report back at the next meeting on the status
of the vacancy as well as any potential nomina-
tions for the post from Moundsview.
3. The chipping of branches should be completed by
Friday, September 12th.
MOTION:
Rowley made a motion, seconded by Forslund, to extend
the rental of one chipper at $450.00/week for two
weeks for the period ending Friday, September 12, 1980
and these funds to be taken from the contingency fund.

ZIEBARTH: No report.
MCCARTY:
1. He noted he had received some calls from citizens
asking about shelters from storms. He noted that the
City should continue informing residents that the City
Hall was availe for shelter (if it was locked, they
could contact the Police Department).
Councilmember Rowley noted at this point that some
procedure should be developed for using the City Hall
for storm shelter, i.e. staff person provision, safety
measures for building and residents, etc. Administrator
Pauley noted that the police chief would be meeting with
Council at the next agenda meeting to discuss civil defense.
2. Mayor McCarty thanked Councilmembers Rowley and Ziebarth
for participating with him in a fund raising event for the
Ronald McDonald House (Associated with the Cancer Ui at
the University of Minnesota).
