The Mounds View City Council was called to
order at 7:30 P.M. on October 14, 1980, by
Mayor McCarty.
1. CALL TO ORDER
Members Present: Forslund, Rowley, Hodges, 2. ROLL CALL
Ziebarth,and Mayor McCarty.
Also Present: Attorney Meyers, Clerk -Admi-
nistrator Pauley, and Building & Zoning
Official Rose.
Corrections: 3. APPROVAL OF 9 -22 -80
MINUTES
Mayor McCarty- He noted that several
paragraphs in the minutes had his name
misspelled.
MOTION: Forslund made a motion, seconded
by Rowley to approve the minutes as amended.
Ayes -5
Nays -0
THE MOTION CARRIED.
Mayor McCarty asked if there were any comments
or requests from the floor. There was no
response.
Administrator Pauley reviewed the process in-
volved that resulted in Stanton & Associates
final recommendation. Each position was evaluated
according to its duties and each individual and
department head was given an opportunity to provide
additional feedback. These job descriptions were
based on similar positions in other jurisdictions.
Salary level would be determined by level of res-
ponsibility.
Administrator Pauley noted that a non -union city
staff meeting would be held on Thursday, 4:30 P.M.,
at which time the Mayor would indicate to the Staff
the City Council's action on this program this
evening. Mr. Rod Kelsey (Stanton & Associates) would
be available at that time to explain the program and
implementation would begin immediately. First step
salary changes resulting from this review would be
effective October 15, 1980 with additional increases
going into effect January 1, 1981.
