HomeMy WebLinkAboutgr00090_000054_pg283MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL October 14, 1980 Regular Meeting Page Three Attorney Meyers referred Mr. James Odle to the Planning Commission for a variance request to the existing city codes regarding the 5' setback requirement on his property. Mayor McCarty asked Mr. Odle if he wished to withdraw his request for action from Council and to submit his variance request to the Planning Commission on October 15th. Mr. Odle said he would withdraw his request from the Council at this time Official Rose stated that he had received a call from Mounds View Square indicating their willing- ness to allow the fish sales to take place on their property. They would also provide insurance coverage for those involved in these sales. They will be sending a confirmation of this approval in writing. MOTION: Ziebarth made a motion, seconded by Hodges, to waive the application fees and issue a transient merchants license for the frozen fish sale which is a fundraiser for the Irondale Concert Choir. Ayes -5 Nays -0 MOTION CARRIED. 8. REPORT OF THE BUILDING AND ZONING OFFICIAL Attorney Meyers: 9. REPORT OF THE CITY ATTORNEY 1. He is submitting copies of the wetland ordinance to Council and Planning Commission for their review. 2. Wolfe & Associates are wanting to increase the IRB bonds to $600,000 instead of the initial $475,000. They will be preparing the papers and forwarding to the City of Mounds View. This will be presented at a future Concil meeting. Forslund: No report. 10. REPORT OF THE COUNCILPERSONS Rowley: 1. She noticed a flower vendor moving about the City last weekend. Administrator Pauley will notify the Police Department. 2. The Association of Metropolitan Municipalities will be meeting on October 29th. She will bring back a report to Council. 3. She would like to have copies of the Council agendas sent to candidates running for Council, in the event they may wish to attend the meetings.
