Ziebarth, to approve Consent Agenda Items

Attorney Meyers noted that the commercial
development revenue note for Arlin Wolf
had been sent to the City Hall, and that
he had just received his copy today® He
had not had a chance to review it®
MOTION: Forslund made a motion, seconded by
Ziebarth to defer discussion of the Arlin
Wolf commercial development note until the
next regular meeting when a report from the
attorney would be available,

MOTION CARRIES.
Police Chief Grabowski: He noted that the
last few weeks the police department had
been using the interrogation room for pro-
cessing drunk drivers and this had provided
a significant amount of time saved for the
police. He referred the Council to his written
report for an account of other activities and
he also noted that budget -wise the department
was in good standing.
Councilmember Rowley noted that she had
received many favorable comments from PAR
(Parents Are Responsible) regarding Policeman
Smith's presentation® Chief Grabowski noted
that a future seminar, to be held at City Hall,
for the general public was planned also®
Parks and Recreation Director Anderson: He
reviewed the past 3 months activities of the Commis-
sion which included the Silverview Park
project, a park study for the City's compre-
hensive plan, the park referendum issue which
will be voted on at the November 4th election,
tennis courts on Edgewood nearing completion,
and additional issues of the Newsletter were
printed. The next three months will include:
design of Silverview Park, winter skating /hockey
programs, status of Lakeside Park Commission,
park maintenance issues, and developing a philo-
sophy position paper regarding youth athletics
role in Mounds View®
