MOTION: McCarty made a motion, seconded by Doty to reject the police vehicle bids of December 29, 1980, and to call for new bids to be advertised for 9:00 A.M., Monday, February 2, 1981, due to non - conformance to specifications of the original bids. Ayes -5 Nays -0 MOTION CARRIED. Councilmember Doty asked if participation in a group plan with another community, school, etc. was being investigated for health insurance coverage for the City's non contractual employees. Administrator Pauley noted that this was being investigated. Administrator Pauley also noted that the Parks and Recreation Director had informed him that a flat rate of $50.00 /month was to be provided to the Recreation Supervisor in- stead of the usual method (reimbursement $0.25 /mile). The Council asked Administrator Pauley to prepare a report showing the past mileage records of the Park & Recreation Director and to discuss this at the next meeting. MOTION: Doty made a motion, seconded by Forslund to approve resolution #1225, establishing mileage allowances and the City's contribution for employees' health insurance for 1981 (Item #E- consent agenda) and waive reading of the resolution. Ayes -5 Nays -0 MOTION CARRIED° MOTION: McCarty made a motion, seconded by Doty to approve the request to hire Mr. James Schlictmann, 2475 Clearview, as the Community Service Officer, at a salary of $4.50 /hour at a maximum of 25 hours /work week, starting January 19, 1981.
