MOTION: McCarty made a motion, seconded by
Forslund to combine Agenda Items 9 and 10
(recommendation for employment of receptionist
and consideration of temporary help for
accountant's leave of absence) because they
both relate to hiring of personnel.
Ayes -5
Nays -0 MOTION CARRIED.
Mayor McCarty noted to the Council that he
felt, because of the decrease in the amount
of building permit requests, that the current
building and zoning secretary could perform
the receptionist duties also. There was
some discussion between Council and Clerk -
Administrator Pauley whether this could be
accomplished well. It was decided to
continue this discussion at next week's agenda
session.
MOTION: McCarty made a motion, seconded by
Doty, to table the hiring of the receptionist
and accountant.
Ayes -5
Nays -0 MOTION CARRIED.
The Council recessed for a break at 8:50 P.M.
The Council re- convened at 9:10 P.M.
Clerk- Administrator read Ordinance No. 300
(Amending the Municipal Code of Mounds View by
Amending Chapter 40, "Zoning "). There was no
discussion by Council.
MOTION: Doty made a motion, seconded by Blanchard,
to adopt Ordinance 300 (Amending the Municipal Code
of Mounds View by Amending Chapter 40, "Zoning ".)
Ayes- Hodges, Forslund, Blanchard, Doty, McCarty
Nays -0
MOTION CARRIED.
This ordinance will take effect 30 days after date
of publication.
