Regular Meeting Page Seven
Official Rose:
1. There will be a meeting of the Metropolitan
Council /Metropolitan Airports Commission Committee
on January 21, 1981 at 9:30 a.m. and one of the agenda
items will be the Anoka County Airport. Official
Rose and Administrator Pauley will be attending.
2. The Metropolitan Transit Comission has
informally informed Mounds View of the plan
to install a park /ride facility for 100+ cars
near 35W /Highway 10. (The Council asked
Official Rose to keep them informed of the
Commission's activities on this proposal.)
3. Official Rose will be attending a
Waste Management Board meeting on February 2nd.
4. The Planning Commission will be meeting
on January 15/22 to review the housing section
of the comprehensive plan update.
5. Official Rose distributed copies of
New Brighton's response to the Mounds View
comprehensive plan update to the Council.
Attorney Meyers:
1. He will be meeting with the Council at
next week's agenda session to discuss:
a. The philosophy of the wetlands ordinance
b. The impact of new development on the
existing water, sewer, etc. facilities in the
City and the possible alternatives /options.
2. He will not be at the February 23rd Council
meeting because he will be out of town.
Councilmembers:
Hodges: No report.
Forslund:
1. The Planning Commission needs Council's
input on the housing section of the comprehensive
plan update.
2. The Metro Council will be holding public
hearings in late July to get feedback from the public
on the selection of the sewage /sludge disposal sites.
There will be an informational meeting on January 29,
1981, at 7:30 P.M. at Coon Rapids City Hall.
