HomeMy WebLinkAboutgr00090_000055_pg028MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL January 26, 1981 Regular Meeting Page Four Parks, Recreation and Forestry Director Anderson presented a summary of his January 22, 1981, memo to the Council listing the process involved in the Mounds View Parks and Recreation Commission's final recommendation for a consultant to complete the Master Plan project for Silver View Park. They are recommending Saunders /Thalden and Associates to the Council. MOTION: McCarty made a motion, seconded by Hodges, to recommend the firm of Saunders /Thalden and Associates to provide Phase One Master Park Plans for Silver View Park and directed staff to nego- tiate a formal contract with Saunders /Thalden and Associates not to exceed $6,500.00. Ayes -5 Nays -0 MOTION CARRIED. Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Director Anderson distributed copies of the bids specifications for publishing the six city newsletters (along with a copy of the cover letter that will be sent to the 18 -20 bidders) to the Council. Anderson stated that by implementinga more controlled bidding pro- cess, the costs of printing would decrease as well as obtaining final budget control. MOTION: McCarty made a motion, seconded by Forslund, to Director Anderson to continue with the bidding process for the city newsletter as presented to the Council this evening. Ayes -5 Nays -0 MOTION CARRIED. The Council recessed at 8:15 P.M. The Council reconvened at 8:35 P.M. MOTION: Forslund made a motion, seconded by Doty, that the Council has received a draft of the Wetlands Map via the Ramsey County Soil and Water Conservation District.
