HomeMy WebLinkAboutgr00090_000055_pg044MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL February 9, 1981 Regular Meeting Page 4 City Engineer Boxrud reviewed his re- commendations to fill the ditch between Scotland Green apartments and Long Lake Road and placing a storm sewer within the new easement per the Council's request (letter to Council dated 2-4-81). MOTION: Doty made a motion, seconded by Blanchard to direct city staff to contact the Wilmus Properties, Inc. and Kraus/Anderson to discuss the Scotland Green storm sewer facility study and to report back to Council. Ayes-3 Nays-0 MOTION CARRIED. Administrator Pauley reviewed his comments from his 2-2-81 memo to the Council on the MC/MAC proposed land use compatability planning guidelines. The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday at 10:00 (The Mayor, Councilmember Forslund, and Administrator Pauley will be attending). Attorney Meyers noted that the city has registered opposition to the County Board's proposal to amend the current court law allowing suburban court systems. The Board is proposing to eliminate most of the sub- urban courts. Police Chief Grabowski noted the financial burden for staffing and pay- roll that would result from officers required to go long distances to appear in court cases. 10. He recommended assigning another person to attend the Waste Management Board meetings Report with him to allow additional input from Mounds View. The Council's position on this subject will be discussed at the next agenda session. 2. He would like a written response to the memo regarding the MTC Park/Ride Facilities proposal from the Council. (He is also obtaining one from the Planning Commission).
