Clerk- Administrator Pauley noted that police
vehicles (two) had to be re -bid because the
award made to Iten Chevrolet was based on a 305
V -8 engine and General Motors no longer produces
this type of engine.
MOTION: Hodges made a motion, seconded by Doty,
to authorize the re- bidding of the two police
vehicles for a V -8 engine in the 267 cubic inch
range.
Ayes -4 Nays -0 MOTION CARRIED.
Clerk- Administrator Pauley noted that he had
contacted Dr. Christenson regarding a joint meeting
of the City Council and representatives of the
School Board to discuss special levies and state
aids. The Council agreed to the March 2nd date
at 7:00 P.M. in the Mounds View City Hall.
Mayor McCarty asked staff to contact all the cities
covered in the school district regarding attending
this meeting).
MOTION: McCarty made a motion, seconded by
Forslund to approve Resolution #1244 (resolution
authorizing transfer from contingency) and to dis-
pense with the reading.
Ayes -4 Nays -0 MOTION CARRIED.
Official Rose:
1. He invited the Council to a meeting to be
held on Thursday, February 26th, at 7:30 P.M. with
the Planning Commission and Park Commission to discuss
the park plan and its possible adoption into the
Comprehensive Plan Update. Councilmembers Hodges
and Doty noted they would be able to attend. Mayor
McCarty noted that he would like to see a sentence
included which would clearly note that this plan
would not be implemented without the voters approval.
(Administrator Pauley suggesting putting this into
the implementation section).
2. He needs a signature from the Mayor for
the special assessment agreement received from Kraus/
Anderson (approved via Resolution #1211), i.e.
assessment of old park property. The Mayor stated he
would sign the document.
