McCarty:
1. He noted that Councilmember Forslund
and he recently attended a Mc /MAC meeting regarding
the airport noise compatibility zones.
2. He notified the Council that Thomas New-
combe was the new District 4 Met Council representa-
tive.
3. The Lakeside Park Commission met last
Thursday to discuss Lakeside Park.
MOTION: McCarty made a motion, seconded by Doty,
to direct staff to draw up a draft joint powers
agreement with Spring Lake Park regarding the
administration and maintenance of Lakeside Park
and submit to the Council for approval.
Ayes -4 Nays -0 MOTION CARRIED.
4. He noted his concern regarding the Senate
File 65 bill proposing to appoint the Attorney General
as the bond council for all public bonding in the state.
5. He noted the trucking law and that he
had received several phones calls regarding it.
MOTION: McCarty made a motion, seconded by Forslund
to direct staff to provide the council with information
from the city attorney regarding the impact of repealing
Chapters 81.01, Item 13, and 81.02, Subd. 5, section 5
of the Municipal Code on the entire Chapter.
Ayes -4 Nays -0 MOTION CARRIED.
Administrator Pauley:
He would like to appoint another notary public in
the city offices to provide better accessibility and
service to the staff. The Council concurred.
MOTION: Forslund made a motion, seconded by Doty
to adjourn the February 23, 1981 regular City Council
meeting.
Ayes -4 Nays -0 MOTION CARRIED.
The meeting adjourned at 9:55 P.M.
