The Mounds View City Council was called to
order at 6:58 p.m., for a Special Meeting,
on March 9, 1981, by Mayor McCarty.

OTHERS PRESENT: City Attorney Meyers, Clerk -
Administrator Pauley, and Building and Zoning

City Attorney Meyers advised the Council that
Ordinance #301 was adopted under authority
granted by Minnesota Statute 462.355 and
indicated to the City Council that the impact
of Ordinance #301 could be the denial of all
subdivision and building permit requests for
property identified in Exhibit A of Ordinance.
#301. City Attorney Meyers also advised the
Council that Minnesota Statutes 462.365 which
relates to 1980 laws, Chapter 566 and provides
specific rights to the City and property
owners regarding the timing of certain issues
in the subdivision process. City Attorney
Meyers recommended that the City Council
elect to not come into compliance with 1980
laws, Chapter 566 at this time.
Doty made a motion, seconded by Forslund, that
the City elect not to come into compliance with
1980 laws, Chapter 566, as cited in Minnesota
Statutes 462.365 until such time as modifica-
tions are made to the City Subdivision
Ordinance.

Nays -0 MOTION CARRIED.
MEETING RECESSED: 7:12 p.m.
